Memorandum of understanding:

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) and Université Sultan Moulay Slimane (USMS) of Morocco have agreed to sign a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen international cooperation in education, research, and innovation. IUB and Moroccan University Join Hands to mark a major step forward in promoting cross-cultural learning and academic collaboration. The understanding was finalized during an online meeting between delegations from both universities, led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor of IUB, and Prof. Dr. Hafida Hanine, Vice President of USMS. Both leaders expressed a firm commitment to building a long-term partnership aligned with global educational standards and shared development goals.
Delegations Participate in Online Meeting:

IUB and Moroccan University Join Hands as distinguished scholars and officials from both institutions came together in a productive and forward-looking online meeting. The Université Sultan Moulay Slimane (USMS) delegation included eminent academics such as Prof. Dr. Abderrazak El-Harti, Dean of the Poly-disciplinary Faculty. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Farissi, Vice Dean for Scientific Research and Cooperation, and Prof. Dr. El-Mostafa Bachaoi, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education. Prof. Dr. Abderrahmene El Ghmari, expert in Geomatics, Georesources, and Environment. M. Nabil Boukhnief, Head of the International Cooperation and Partnership Division. Prof. Dr. Mustapha Zanzoun from the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences.
Representing the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), the delegation featured senior officials and deans, including Mr. Muhammad Shaji-Ur-Rehman, Registrar. Dr. Ghulam Hasan Abbasi, Director and Focal Person, and Prof. Dr. Abdur Rauf, Dean, Faculty of Chemical & Biological Sciences. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Dean, Faculty of Computing. Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences. Dr. Abid Shahzad, Directorate of International Linkages. Faisal Shehzad, Faculty of Computing; and Dr. Shahzad Ahmad Khalid, Director, Media and Public Relations.
Academic Collaboration and Future Initiatives:

The MOU offers a practical and transparent framework for cooperation founded on equality, reciprocity, and shared academic goals. In addition to actively involving staff, students, and research scholars. It encourages the two universities to organize academic conferences, seminars, symposia, and cooperative research projects. Additionally, the two institutions create cutting-edge electronic instructional media and digital learning technologies. They will exchange research data, academic papers, and educational resources. As the Focal Person, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Hasan Abbasi, Director of the Institute of Agro-Industry and Environment. Faculty of Agriculture & Environment at IUB, will direct and oversee the partnership’s implementation. IUB and Sultan Moulay Slimane University hope to establish a solid precedent for future international educational collaborations by fostering mutual understanding. Pakistan and Morocco, fostering innovation, and advancing sustainable academic cooperation over the course of this five-year partnership.
